2012 Motor Tour Dates Set For June 7th - 9th

We start off at the Tucumcari Convention Center with registration on Thursday

June 7th. The Wheels on 66 and Mother Road Rally groups will be joining us as will a number of noted Route 66 Artists and Authors for some fun and a car cruise that evening.

 

Friday morning we leave Tucumcari as part of an actual parade and continue on toward Santa Rosa where we’ll visit the Auto Museum. This year we’re taking the pre 1937 alignment of Route 66 and will stop north of Santa Fe for lunch. Many of our Motor Tourists travel in a group, stopping now and then to see the sites, but you are free to stop wherever you want. This is your tour and you’ll have a turn by turn travel guide and schedule to keep you from getting too far behind. Friday evening in Albuquerque, we’re attending an outdoor movie before calling it a day.

 

After a short briefing Saturday morning at the Route 66 Casino, we continue west through Laguna to a car show in Grants. Our final destination is Gallup where we’ll have an informal banquet dinner. The banquet is optional but you definitely want to join in for the awards and raffle prizes afterwards as we’ll have a great time.
