New Mexico State Government Agencies

Information on cultural activities and events, preservation, the arts, scenic trails and byways can be accessed through visiting the state of New Mexico's Departments and agencies below. They administer a broad variety of programs and projects that are free or of nominal cost. Many of those activities are in or near historic Route 66 communities and the roadway. Call, write or visit their Web Site for brochures and information. The State of New Mexico's Highway and Transportation Office administers the State Scenic Byways and Trail Systems. New Mexico Arts has an on-going "Cultural Corridors" program of public art projects along the historic Route 66 state Scenic Byway.
